      The Outside Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, and local general contractors within the municipal market to drive sales and provide solutions throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, Northern Delaware, Southern New Jersey.

      Success in this role requires strong time management, self-motivation, organization, conflict resolution, and follow-through skills. This is an outside sales position that involves regular interaction with consultants, wastewater treatment plant personnel, and contractors. Direct sales and plant-level activities require in-person consultation, product demonstrations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise.

      What you'll do:

      • Develop and strengthen relationships with existing end users, contractors, and engineers while cultivating new business opportunities and long-term partnerships.
      • Provide engineers and end users with professional product recommendations, technical support, and consistent follow-up to ensure successful project execution and maximize sales growth.
      • Take initiative in scheduling customer meetings, coordinating product presentations and promotional events, and maintaining regular communication with your customer base.
      • Attend product training sessions and actively participate in local industry associations, conferences, and trade shows.
      • Travel to manufacturers and represented company locations for training and professional development as needed.


      What you bring:

      • Minimum of 2 years experience with process equipment and pump sales, with proven success in sales, business development, or account management.
      • Experience within the municipal water/wastewater industry is preferred.
      • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical solutions to engineers, municipalities, contractors, and plant personnel.
      • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through.
      • Proven skills in consultative selling, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
      • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and territory management abilities.
      • Comfortable conducting in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
      • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects, priorities, and customer accounts.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/customer relationship management software preferred.
      • Valid U.S. driver's license required.
      • Ability and willingness to travel in an assigned territory.
