- Provide comprehensive, technical advice on People & Culture matters including onboarding, change management, performance management, wellbeing, employee relations, remuneration, recruitment, and diversity and inclusion.
- Use insights and metrics to provide thought leadership on key people priorities.
- Develop a deep understanding of business strategies to inform people strategies and workforce planning.
- Lead organisational development and learning and development plans and programmes.
- Manage employment relations issues and lead relationships with the union.
- Drive organisational change initiatives.
- Establish and maintain internal and external relationships including shared services to deliver effective People & Culture services to Eke Panuku.
- An effective business partner with the ability to provide credible advice and influence at all levels.
- Skilled in building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to handle conflict resolution and decision-making in a changing environment.
- Experienced in employment law, union negotiations, and embedding people change initiatives.
- Tertiary degree in relevant area such as Human Resources, Business or Law, or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience working within a complex HR environment as a trusted business partner to leadership teams, and subject matter expert in the delivery of HR expertise and strategy.
- Proven experience in implementing strategic people initiatives, problem solving, planning, and achieving culture outcomes and business objectives.
- Proven experience in workforce planning, engagement strategies, talent, and succession planning.

As People & Culture Business Partner, you will play a critical role in leading operational and strategic people initiatives that align with our mission of rejuvenating urban Auckland.
Please note that this is a Fixed Term Full Time opportunity (parental leave cover), until 30 November 2025.
In this role, you will have opportunity to make an impact. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you’ll partner with leaders to identify and embed people strategies, provide advice on all things people, and provide coaching and support to the People & Culture Consultant.
The People & Culture team at Eke Panuku is a team of three who are well embedded in the organisation. This means you will provide expertise across the full spectrum of human resources and at all levels of the organisation.
