Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) by engaging with emerging public sector systems integrators (SI) and independent software vendors (ISVs). Help advise partners who are reinventing their IT strategy by adopting and delivering cloud computing solutions.       As an AWS Partner Development Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help build mindshare and adoption of Amazon Web Services in the public sector. Your mission will be to guide emerging partners and increase their AWS awareness and adoption, and help them begin their Amazon Web Services Partner Network (APN) Journey. This will include supporting the development of partner's practice areas, skillsets, and integration with AWS Sales and Professional Services.

      As a Public Sector Partner Development Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to enable and grow our ecosystem of both Service and Software partners in the US Public Sector. In this role, you will establish business and technical relationships with AWS partners through your knowledge of the customer's mission and the environment. You will interact with our partners in support of public sector entities. The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the executive level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and solutions architects. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. You will also work very closely with the AWS Partner Advancement Team and sales team to drive joint sales engagement to support the development of partners and shape public sector opportunities and pursuits.

      Key job responsibilities
      • Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector Partner team by supporting emerging SI and ISV partners who are beginning their Amazon Web Services Partner Network (APN) journey.
      • Manage a broad portfolio of partners to develop and advance partnerships at scale
      • Identify high potential partners with the ability to impact public sector customers and recommend for strategic development and/or connect with AWS end customer sales team
      • Build the funnel of future strategic SIs and ISVs who will impact the public sector through their regional, vertical or solution focus.
      • Manage APN Customer Engagement (ACE) opportunities submitted by partners
      • Field and route incoming requests from partners for assistance with the APN, technical inquiries, billing questions, partner programs.
      • Serve as the internal conduit for connecting partners in the portfolio to relevant AWS cross-functional teams, which may include AWS sales teams, service teams, solutions architects, legal, Partner Advancement, AWS Professional Services, or AWS support.
      • Must be able to field a variety of requests and work independently to resolve issues, identify areas for process improvement, and escalate appropriately.
      • Brief senior manager teams regarding development progress, pipeline opportunities, and high potential partners for future investment.

      Arlington, VA, USA | Austin, TX, USA | Denver, CO, USA | Oceanside, CA, USA | San Diego, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA• 4+ years of experience developing, enabling and supporting a partner community
      • 4+ years of experience with government technology capture, procurement, and contracting processes.
      • 4+ years of experience with technology platform sales with an understanding of government IT, data centers, and cloud adoption.
      • 4+ years of partner/business development, enterprise sales, and/or program/product management experience with a focus on public sector
      • Proficiency in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office• Experience with partner/channel and public sector, including knowledge of public sector contract vehicles, common compliance requirements and regulations.
      • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing
      • Experience supporting businesses focused on public sector industries, including Federal, State & Local Government, Education, Non-Profit, and Non-Profit Healthcare.
      • Ability to influence C-suite decision makers

      Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $73,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
