What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop "gold-standard" peak-sales forecasts for representative drug programs using provided prompts and analogs
- Establish structural checks and scenario logic for automated evaluation of forecasts
- Articulate heuristics and base-rate assumptions used in credible projections
- Prepare governance-ready peak-sales models for executive committees or investor-facing reviews
- Critique various forecasting models to identify biases and flawed structures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 10-15 years of experience in biotech/pharma forecasting, investment, or commercial strategy
- Director/Senior Director/VP-level experience in global forecasting or brand planning
- Proven track record in building and defending patient-based peak-sales models for strategic decisions
- Familiarity with market modeling logic, including penetration, pricing, and ramp curves
- Ability to explain assumptions related to penetration, price, and market dynamics post-launch
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as a senior biotech equity analyst or VC/Buy-side professional
- Proven ability to critique bottoms-up forecasts and identify optimistic biases
- Experience covering pre-launch forecasts through post-launch actuals for multiple assets
- Strong narrative skills to articulate primary value drivers and risks in forecasts
- Demonstrated ability to temper optimism in forecasting through market constraints
