      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.

      Leadership:

      • Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines.

      • Conduct and attend meetings to continuously foster positive working relationships among employees, while promoting company values, productivity, and efficiency.
      • Work with organization leaders and human resources department to train and develop employees through formalized training programs.

      Business Operations:

      • Develop and implement strategic business objectives.
      • Prepare budget and monitor expenses for all departments.
      • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure operational and sales goals, and objectives are met.
      • Develop and implement department goals and initiatives that align with the mission and culture of the organization.
      • Participate in activities to promote the business and service of Alexandria Extrusion MidAmerica throughout the Indianapolis, IN communities.
      • Works with the sales team on implementing the sales plan.
      • Coordinate the financial budget activities for all aspects of the business to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency and productivity.
      • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of company and staff to determine areas of cost reduction and continuous improvement.
      • Provide support to Quality leadership to create and sustain a strong quality foundation throughout the organization to continuously meet organizational quality goals.
      • Support continuous improvement efforts to drive significant results for our business and employees.
      • Support the work being done with Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process Failure Mode and Effect (PFMEA), and product Control Plans (CP) to optimize operation.
      • Support the Design of Manufacturability process (DFM).
      • Ensure data integrity throughout the organization.
      • Ensure that our employees understand what an “A” looks like for the day.

      Facility and Equipment:

      • Utilize and develop plant production measurement systems to improve machine utilization and productivity.
      • Ensure that each department is appropriately staffed to meet production needs and offer strong customer service.
      • Ensure that the facility and equipment are in safe working conditions under the guidelines of our safety policy and state and federal laws.
      • Ensure that manufacturing systems are in place to inform employees of proper work instructions and to allow employees to update the systems with production information.
      • Promote environmentally responsible systems and processes.
      • Have operations review top running jobs to ensure they are performing to standard and ensure the operation team is running the best process on the right equipment.
      • Ensure that the preventive maintenance program is developed, implemented and effective.

      Customer Service:

      • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships (internal and external).
      • Work to continuously improve quality standards to provide products that exceed customer expectations.
      • Maintain and improve manufacturing capabilities, lead times and on-time delivery.
      • Review customer satisfaction surveys and implement changes based on the feedback.

      OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)

      • Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      1. Education:
        • Associates or Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or related program preferred
      2. Experience:
        • 10+ years of leadership experience required
        • 5+ years of overseeing operations in a manufacturing environment desired
      3. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
        • Strong knowledge of Alexandria Industries business operations and procedures
        • Knowledge of aluminum manufacturing
        • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with others
        • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
        • Ability to recognize safety concerns
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills
        • Excellent presentation skills
        • Budgeting and accounting principals
        • Ability to provide strong servant leadership to support team members
        • Ability to take part in continuous education and training
        • Ability to interact at a high level with all levels of the organization
        • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in every situation
        • Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
        • Work flexible hours, overtime and on-call
        • Excellent project management skills
        • Ability to lead and influence others
        • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time
