What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and negotiate clinical trial budgets for various types of trials
- Review and analyze clinical trial protocols to ensure accurate cost and resource allocation
- Interface with faculty, staff, and external sponsors regarding budget-related matters
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and reporting to guide clinical trial decision-making
- Lead initiatives to standardize documentation and enhance alignment across budgeting materials
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Seven years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related area plus three years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems
- Proven ability to perform financial analysis and present information clearly
- Experience using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial tasks
- Knowledge of investigational protocols and experience in a clinical research environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of accounting as applied to university and medical center functions
- Familiarity with medical billing and collections guidelines and procedures
