What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate patient flow through the referral, scheduling, and financial clearance processes
- Schedule patients for hospital or medical group services via phone calls and online requests
- Provide excellent customer service to both physician offices and patients
- Perform insurance eligibility verification and execute payer requirements
- Initiate requests for authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals from insurance companies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
- Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) certification within one year of hire
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree preferred with 6 months of job-related experience
- Experience in healthcare access management or similar roles
