What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule patients for hospital or medical group services through various communication channels
- Work within the central referral management system to promote in-system patient retention and continuity of care
- Provide excellent customer service to both physician offices and patients
- Perform insurance eligibility verification and request necessary authorizations and referrals
- Conduct pre-registration activities, including demographic verification and financial liability estimates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
- Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to compliance guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree preferred with at least 6 months of job-related experience
- National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) certification within one year of hire
