What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide engineering technical support for PowerSecure MicroGrid equipment including switchgear and generators
- Liaison with engineering groups to address issues in the field during start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Assist in the development and execution of field retrofit projects and technical troubleshooting guidelines
- Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance on various PowerGen and switchgear products
- Communicate open action items and escalate issues to leadership to ensure project quality and customer satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of commercial/industrial experience working on generators, ATS/switchgear, and paralleling control systems
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering can substitute for 4 years of experience
- Experience in reading and understanding electrical and mechanical schematics
- Valid Driver's License and ability to troubleshoot switchgear and PowerGen equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent time management abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- NFPA 70 ARC Flash Certification
- Commissioning and field experience in complex projects
- Familiarity with programming devices such as Woodward controllers and SEL protective relays
- Experience with various switchgear products including Eaton, ABB, and Siemens
- Ability to understand operational theory of Switchgear and PowerGen products
