- Leadership and accountability for all asphalt and aggregate production, including aggregate sources, crushing, mining, wash plants, plant reliability, cost, quality, performance, and compliance.
- Directly leads and manages Maintenance Crew, Warehouse Team, Electricians and Systems Analyst.
- Co-manages divisional production facilities with Regional & Operations Managers.
- Leads team in alignment with our company’s culture of safety while maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Establishes/Defines/Promotes values, expectations, and performance standards for team.
- Ensures all employees provide the highest quality customer service.
- Demonstrates a commitment to mentoring, developing, and coaching employees.
- Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication throughout production operations.
- Identifies opportunities to proactively mitigate and remedy potential risks to the business.
- Monitors partnership with Quality Control for all production facilities.
- Purchase energy & fuel for consumption at plants.
- Oversees all maintenance and emergency repairs for HMA plants, crushers, RAP crushers, wash plants and screen plants.
- Ensure plant reliability while managing overall costs. Review financial reports, create budgets for maintenance and plant upgrades.
- Performs other job-related responsibilities and special projects as requested.
- Negotiate and secure aggregates for HMA production from suppliers.
- Leads employees to work in an environmentally responsible way and partners with Environmental & Land Use Department to ensure compliance with the WA Department of Natural Resources, WA Department of Ecology, Regional Clean Air Agencies, OR Department of Environmental Quality, OR Department of Geology and Mineral Industries, Environmental Protection Agency, and various local jurisdiction compliance authorities.
- Proven leadership : Have a successful track record of managing and motivating teams in demanding production environments, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. Ability to manage across geographically dispersed locations including portable operations.
- Technical and Operational expertise : Possess a deep understanding of asphalt production plants, processes, mix design principles, and quality control procedures.
- Effective Planning and Organizing : Ability to manage people and delegate to effectively reach goals and motivate employees. Effectively plan resources to meet project deadlines and commitments.
- Desire to Innovate : Research and remain up-to-date on new and emerging technologies, as well as investigate future aggregate resources.
- Excellent Communication skills: Communicate clearly and consistently with production team and internal and external stakeholders.
- Procurement Expertise: Research and negotiate the purchase of new and used parts and equipment, securing the best value while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Inventory Control: Manage parts inventory effectively, optimize stock levels, minimize costs and ensuring parts are readily available when needed.
- Relationship focused : Build strong relationships and connections with peers, team members, industry partners, communities, suppliers, regulatory bodies, promoting collaboration and ensuring alignment towards shared goals.

This role oversees all Production Operations including 16 Company asphalt plants, crushers, wash plants and mining operations for all Lakeside Divisions including Bayview Asphalt. Must be available to work extended hours, including night and weekend work. Full-time exempt, salaried position with benefits.

REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience. 5+ years of supervisory experience. Must have a firm understanding of hot mix asphalt plant operations, aggregate production for asphalt, concrete, and retail sales. Track record of progressively responsible positions in a dynamic team environment. Must be able to travel. Must pass pre-employment drug screen (Federal Contractor screens include marijuana). Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Professional Engineering License considered a plus. Experience in heavy highway construction, asphalt paving experience preferred. Proficient with MS Office suite of applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), project scheduling, estimating, and other industry specific software.

WAGE & BENEFIT INFORMATION
The full salary range for this position is $150,000 to $225,000. People entering this job typically start between $150,000 and $175,000 depending on direct professional experience, education, qualifications, and geographic location.
