What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data lake/lakehouse workloads on Databricks, including ingestion, processing, curation, and consumption layers.
- Architect and implement data pipelines using Spark (PySpark/Scala) and orchestration tools.
- Establish engineering standards, including repo structure, coding conventions, and documentation.
- Drive performance tuning and implement data quality and validation controls.
- Mentor engineers and lead technical design sessions, ensuring effective communication with project stakeholders.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 7+ years of experience with Apache Spark, Databricks SQL, Python, ETL, and Cloud Orchestration.
- Proven hands-on experience with Databricks in production environments.
- Advanced skills in Spark and PySpark/Scala, with strong SQL capabilities.
- Deep experience with Delta Lake and lakehouse/data lake design patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience building batch and/or streaming pipelines and familiarity with CDC concepts.
- Proven technical leadership experience, including leading teams and setting standards.
- Knowledge of cloud storage and security fundamentals, including IAM.
