What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure patients are cleared for specialty service office visits by obtaining and issuing referrals
- Resolve pre-certification, registration, and case-related concerns prior to patient appointments
- Complete the referral process for ancillary, consultation, radiology, or lab visits, including checking insurance coverage and scheduling appointments
- Interact with patients, insurance carriers, and internal departments to facilitate patient care
- Notify patients of progress regarding their referrals and appointments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must live in AZ, NV, or TX
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical office or other healthcare environment
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with coding
- Must be able to interact effectively with patients and insurance carriers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bi-lingual preferred
- Familiarity with the referral and authorization process is a plus
