What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Drive new business through partnerships with brokers and distributors in the voluntary benefits sector
- Establish and maintain consultative relationships with major distributors to increase sales
- Conduct market analysis and prospect for new business opportunities through cold calling and networking
- Collaborate with marketing and product development to create educational programs that promote Trustmark's value proposition
- Utilize Salesforce.com for reporting, forecasting, and managing sales activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in voluntary product sales or equivalent work experience
- Proven consultative sales experience with a focus on relationship building
- Strong analytical skills with experience in generating and analyzing sales reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to understand customer needs
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in working independently and making decisions aligned with company objectives
- Proven ability to handle conflict and resolve complex issues effectively
- Familiarity with the complete MS Office Suite
- Previous experience in a consultative sales environment
- Ability to develop and maintain respectful relationships with various stakeholders
