What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve growth targets within the west USA municipal wastewater market
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with municipalities, wastewater utilities, engineering consultants, and system integrators
- Conduct technical consultations, plant visits, and presentations to assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations highlighting equipment performance, efficiency, and lifecycle benefits
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with municipal end-users and channel partners
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must currently reside in California within convenient access to a major airport (Los Angeles, Sacramento, or San Francisco preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience selling process equipment directly into the municipal wastewater treatment market
- Strong understanding of pumping systems, fluid dynamics, and process troubleshooting
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles from specification to close
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience at municipal equipment dealers or manufacturers' representatives
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a regional capacity
- Comfortable with CRM tools, project tracking, and sales reporting
