What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and direct a rep agency sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within the assigned region
- Establish and negotiate pricing, product rebate programs, and shelf space with Sales Director approval
- Train and coach sales representatives on products, policies, practices, and performance accountability
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and contractors
- Participate in marketing and sales trade shows and promotions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
- In-depth knowledge of business, sales, and marketing
- Proven experience managing independent sales representatives
- Extensive relationship network in the plumbing industry
- Ability to effectively cover the territory (CA, NV, AZ, HI) with 50-60% travel required for candidates residing in the territory
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Sales experience in the plumbing industry within comparably sized manufacturing/distribution organizations
- Demonstrated business and distribution know-how
- Leadership experience directing independent business representatives
- PC computer proficiency
