What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assess and analyze patient benefits in coordination with internal program operations and insurance providers
- Handle payer inquiries and manage benefit investigations to determine patient eligibility and coverage
- Maintain frequent communication with payers to gather necessary information for case resolution
- Process patient and prescriber requests efficiently to accelerate access to therapy
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide reimbursement information as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management or insurance roles, preferably in a pharmacy, HUB, or healthcare setting
- Proven ability to manage a case load, prioritize tasks, and build relationships
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft programs
- Ability to thrive in a regulated, remote, high-volume environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Undergraduate degree
- Understanding of plan types such as Government, Commercial, Medicaid, VA, and Federal
- Knowledge of insurance structures, including PBMs and co-pay assistance
- Familiarity with HUB patient journey, workflow, and triage
- Strong understanding of the biologic/specialty pharma market and patient access challenges
