What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct testing on grains, flours, food ingredients, and finished foods to support R&D initiatives
- Provide assistance on R&D projects, including formula scale-up and ingredient sourcing
- Act as a trained member of the Sensory Team
- Manage lab flour and ingredient inventory effectively
- Collaborate with other R&D team members on projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- B.S. degree in food science or a related science from an accredited university
- Experience in a lab setting running routine analyses for accuracy and precision
- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and comfort with mechanical equipment
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with analytical instruments and laboratory procedures
- Experience with food safety and quality assurance protocols
- Knowledge of grain-based foods and their characteristics
