What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure daily billing and adjustments are accurate and timely
- Read and interpret insurance benefits and explanations of benefits (EOB)
- Process pre-authorizations with HMO insurances and Denti-Cal
- Review outstanding claims and follow up on aging patient and insurance balances
- Assist front office staff with insurance and account questions as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Billing & Coding Certificate, preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical collections and accounts receivables
- Experience working in a dental or orthodontics billing practice or similar environment
- Familiarity with EOBs and healthcare accounts receivables
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively with others and maintain regular attendance
- Cross-training in different aspects of the department
