What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Demonstrate products to both technical and non-technical audiences, articulating the value proposition effectively
- Manage sales opportunities from discovery to deal closure in collaboration with an account executive
- Oversee product trials, including installation and data interpretation for prospective customers
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to define product requirements and features
- Serve as an escalation point for pre-sales technical issues and author blog posts for the employer
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in Security Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or similar technical, customer-facing roles in the security industry
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python and experience with REST APIs
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and a commitment to staying current with industry advancements
- Capability to complete a criminal background investigation
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and reside in Washington, DC or Virginia
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher)
- Experience supporting federal civilian agencies, DoD, or the intelligence community in a technical pre-sales or consulting role
- Familiarity with federal procurement processes, including FedRAMP and FISMA requirements
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and mandates such as NIST 800-53 and CMMC
- Previous experience presenting to or collaborating with federal executives and technical stakeholders
