What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement a yearly strategic plan to secure and strengthen product specifications
- Build and maintain relationships with key owners, engineers, and contractors to influence product selection
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive products to enhance market position
- Collaborate with engineering associations to promote brand presence and influence
- Document all activities and strategic plans in the CRM system in accordance with corporate guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- College graduate with an Engineering degree; Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Proven experience in writing technical specifications for mechanical systems
- Previous technical sales experience in the commercial construction industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional image
- Willingness to travel overnight as required and located near a major metropolitan area with airport access
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CSI Certification (Construction Specifications Institute) is preferred
- Experience in engaging with industry professionals and driving project development
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while being a team player
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to deliver presentations and educational sessions at engineering events
