DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Sales specialist focusing on our MAS quality controls at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to business growth and build lasting customer relationships. You'll identify and develop new business opportunities while implementing strategic initiatives across our product portfolio. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to qualify leads, negotiate agreements, and ensure customer success. This position offers an opportunity to impact health and research while advancing your career with a leader in serving science.
This field-based sales position supports Canada and the Eastern US. Candidates are ideally located within the territory, with convenient access to a major airport. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors degree and 5 years of sales or business development experience in life sciences, laboratory diagnostics, or healthcare preferred
• Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field)
• Experience selling to the C-suite of Laboratory operations/Hospital operations
• Demonstrated success in lead generation, qualification, and securing new business opportunities
• Strong understanding of technical matters, product development processes, and regulatory frameworks
• Advanced negotiation and contract development skills for complex, multi-year agreements
• Excellence in relationship building with both internal stakeholders and external customers
• Experience working effectively in collaborative, matrixed environments
• Strong analytical skills for market analysis, performance tracking, and pipeline management
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to travel 75-80%
• Experience with customer relationship management tools and sales tracking systems
• Ability to work effectively across diverse teamsAbout the company
