What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of all protocols defining the verification system
- Ensure scientific rigor by grounding requirements and methodologies in credible science and ecological evidence
- Maintain the authoritative system of record for all definitions, metrics, and program rules
- Define functional requirements for tools and platforms that operationalize the standard, collaborating with tech and operations teams
- Provide training and technical support to internal teams and engage with external partners to ensure robust standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Deep passion for regenerative agriculture and support for farmers and ranchers
- 5+ years of experience in standards development, scientific program design, or technical leadership roles
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Agronomy or a related field
- Exceptional writing, documentation, and systems-thinking skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and empathetically
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in soil science, agronomy, ecology, environmental science, or natural resource management
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage scientific workstreams
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with a builder's mindset
