What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and experiment with machine learning-driven alpha models for predictive signal discovery
- Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models to forecast market trends and asset prices
- Engage in feature engineering and data experimentation to enhance model performance
- Optimize model parameters and architectures to improve forecasting accuracy and robustness
- Collaborate with quantitative strategists and developers to translate alpha signals into profitable trading strategies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience applying machine learning techniques in financial markets for alpha discovery
- Proven track record of developing trading algorithms or signals within a hedge fund, prop trading firm, or fintech company
- High proficiency in Python and familiarity with major machine learning frameworks
- Strong understanding of financial markets and trading strategies
