- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent automation experience).
- 5+ years of industrial automation experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Siemens PCS 7 engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of:
- Process control
- Instrumentation
- PID control loops
- Batch and continuous processes
- Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control narratives.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in live manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
- Experience with Siemens PCS 7 V9.x
- Experience with:
- Siemens Batch
- Route Control
- Safety Integrated Systems
- Experience with Siemens Plant Automation Accelerator (PAA).
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms and server architecture.
- Cybersecurity experience in industrial control systems.
- Experience integrating MES, historians, or SCADA platforms.
- Familiarity with Rockwell PlantPAx, DeltaV, Ignition, or AVEVA System Platform.
- ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or Siemens certifications.
SkyIO is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer specializing in Siemens PCS 7 to design, develop, commission, and support industrial automation solutions for manufacturing and process industries. This role will work directly with customers to deliver complete automation projects from concept through startup while maintaining SkyIO's commitment to technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Siemens PCS 7 DCS, process control, instrumentation, and industrial networking, along with the ability to lead technical discussions, troubleshoot complex systems, and support customers during commissioning and startup.
