What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary contracts lead for government and commercial agreements, including FAR/DFARS-based contracts and multi-year payload hosting partnerships
- Review solicitations and RFP/RFQ requirements to identify contractual risks and negotiation strategies
- Develop and review proposal volumes and contractual terms in collaboration with Product, Program Management, and Engineering teams
- Manage post-award subcontractor and supplier execution, ensuring compliance and monitoring deliverables
- Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements, ensuring alignment with the employer's business, technical, and legal positions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 7+ years of experience in government contracting, subcontract administration, or contracts management within the aerospace or defense sectors
- Direct experience working with U.S. Government customers such as NASA or other defense/intelligence organizations
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government acquisition processes
- Proven experience negotiating complex contract terms and pricing structures with government agencies and commercial partners
- Eligibility to maintain a Security Clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Active or inactive TS/SCI clearance
- Experience managing DCMA/DCAA-compliant systems in a small business environment
- Familiarity with partner ecosystems relevant to space startups, including satellite manufacturers and launch providers
- Demonstrated ability to create scalable internal processes for rapid growth
- NCMA certifications (CFCM, CPCM, etc.)
