  Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday. Day-time hours (flexible out of hours contact)

  DHL are recruiting for an experienced Senior HSE Business Partner to join our busy aviation customer.   We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

  • You will be responsible for the Senior Health & Safety business partnering for 5 main airports and 8 Avanti sites within the UK.
  • Provide HSE & BCM advice, guidance and support to enable the sites to comply with relevant statutory legislation
  • Drive business Standardisation and assist with the continued adherence to the HSMS and any other relevant HSE & BCM policies at the sites.
  • Set out and contribute to the future Health & Safety strategies, ensuring continuous improvements and strategy implementations.
  • Meet annual Safety, Health and Environmental objectives which will be assessed via the performance management system.
  • Attend and participate in regular Senior Leadership Team meetings.
  • Assist the central HSE function in delivering the functional business objectives
  • Coordinate and assist the Management team(s) in HSE & BCM initiatives at the sites.
  • Be an HSE and BCM ambassador, Driving and supporting a Safety First culture within the area of responsibility.
  • To drive action where risks are identified and ensure solutions and closure on agreed actions.

  • Experience working within an fast-paced and diverse Senior Health & Safety role.
  • Previous H&S responsibility in Aviation & Travel (Airports) environments, target focused and an ability to deliver standardised programs.
  • Stakeholder management and management influence.
  • Aviation and travel experience would be desirable, or a strong desire to develop your career within A&T.
  • Maintain effective relationships with our Aviation customers, stakeholders and SLT.
  • Regional travel and beyond as operational requirements.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate (Essential)
  • COMAH experience (Desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and customers.
  • PC Literate - Systems, Microsoft package.
