      As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will manage the largest strategic accounts that represent a major part of Alcon Nordic sales. It is one of the key roles for Alcon in the Nordic Cluster.

      In this role, a typical day will include:

      • Being responsible for driving sales, promotion, and development in the designated accounts to reach commercial goals
      • Developing customer partnership strategy, Joint Business Planning for assigned accounts, aligning on account objectives and executes.
      • Establishing and developing long-term relationships with key customers. Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements. Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their needs and objectives.
      • Leading the alignment with international and cross-functional stakeholders, defend and prioritize local priorities
      • Leading the preparation of strategies and individual tactical plans and to give strategic input in terms of analysis, future potential and key programs required for the accounts
      • Preparing and negotiating contracts, and guiding initiatives that the company launches to target an account
      • Analyzing market situation including competitive intelligence activities on key accounts and key competitors
      • Organizing customer events and other programs independently or with marketing/medical department, in line with agreed business tactical plans
      • Being responsible for establishing and implementing a sales/business plan for a designated client base.
      • Regular co-traveling with field force for store checks and briefing the field team on priorities of store activation
      • Coaching key account managers and overseeing projects for selected sales representatives
      • Co-developing national commercial programs in cooperation with Marketing and Commercial Strategy departments

      WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

      • University degree or equivalent in business management, economics or STEM
      • Fluency in English and Danish
      • Fluency in Norwegian would be a plus
      • Significant experience in Sales
      • Proven record in constantly achieving sales KPIs
      • FMCG account management background is a plus
      • Track record of closing annual negotiations
      • History of key account turnaround, as an advantage
      • Project management (knowledge of key concepts including phases, plans, deliverables, scope and tasks) and coaching skills would be an asset
      • Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels of a business
      • A focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables
      • Savviness in cross-functional cooperation
      • Business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing complex client relationships
      • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations
      • Passion about business and dissatisfaction with status quo – always thinking of ways to improve/grow assigned clients
      • Strong analytical skills
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remain motivated
      • High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint
