      Greystone is looking for a leader for its multifamily syndication efforts. This individual will partner with Greystone’s lending and finance leaders to structure marketable loan products. This leader will be responsible for pricing, risk management, and execution. The Senior Managing Director, Syndication position is based in our New York City headquarters 5 days/week.

      Primary Duties & Responsibilities

        • Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key capital markets counterparties
        • Provide pricing analysis and help negotiate business terms with potential borrowers
        • Perform ongoing market surveillance to stay abreast of ever-changing market conditions
        • Collaborate with loan originators, underwriters, legal, accounting, and securitization teams to structure marketable loan products
        • Prepare presentation and sales materials to internal/external parties
        • Negotiate terms and documentation including inter-creditor, co-lender, participation and note purchase agreements
        • Explore, innovate, and create new structures to optimize marketability of Greystone loan products
        • Develop and maintain risk management and portfolio surveillance strategies
        • Optimize hedging strategy, as applicable
        • Collaborate with Credit & Underwriting team to prepare materials and conduct outreach efforts for syndication function


        Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required

          • Broad knowledge of real estate finance, including bridge, CMBS, CLO, and agency lending programs
          • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with financial institutions
          • Strong track record of successful syndications/loan placements for a real estate advisory firm, mortgage broker, or lender.
          • Ability to manage loan pricing and interest rate and credit spread hedge strategy
          • Ability to manage the loan documentation and closing process
          • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
          • Strong leadership skills with the ability to interface confidently with executive level professionals
          • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and written/oral presentation skills
          • Ability to work productively under minimal supervision in a demanding, fast-paced environment

                  Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $250,000 to $350,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
