      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform registration, billing, follow-up, and collection functions for all payers, including self-pay
      - Verify insurance benefits and contact patients for necessary information
      - Process financial assistance applications and resolve inquiries related to patient accounts
      - Post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts; review accounts for outside collection or legal authorization
      - Act as a liaison to outside vendors and assist management with training new staff

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma or equivalent
      - Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical registration, billing, customer service, or collections
      - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      - Proficiency in using computers and office applications
      - Ability to operate a calculator, fax machine, and copier

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in reviewing medical records to identify chargeable procedures
      - Familiarity with billing regulations and corporate compliance plans
      - Previous experience in a lead role or supervisory capacity
