What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and review income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
- Prepare and review indirect tax returns (e.g., sales & use, VAT) on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Calculate and analyze the effective tax rate, deferred tax assets, and liabilities for quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740
- Maintain documentation related to SOX quarterly and annual controls and prepare tax-related journal entries
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes, controls, and reporting systems
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in tax compliance, focusing on income tax, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, and tax provisions under ASC 740
- Big 4 or public company experience
- Strong understanding of ASC 740 (Income Taxes) and SOX controls related to tax reporting
- Proficiency in accounting operating systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in Taxation or equivalent qualification (e.g., CPA license)
- Extensive experience preparing transfer pricing calculations and intercompany invoices
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
