What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary liaison for investigators relying on external sIRBs and oversee multi-site research compliance
- Review applications for relying sites to ensure adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations
- Determine eligibility for reliance on external sIRBs based on policies and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate the negotiation of study reliance agreements and prepare individual investigator agreements
- Communicate compliance policies and participate in educational workshops for the research community
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in clinical research or regulatory affairs
- Must obtain IRB professional (CIP) certification within 2 years of hire
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of federal regulations, such as the Common Rule and HIPAA
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience with Single IRB processes
- Familiarity with clinical research protocols
- Proven analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- High degree of computer literacy
