- Employee Development Ownership (Coaching, Mentoring, Hiring, etc.) Monitor and hold team accountable for all key job functions
- Engage Employees as business partners on a regular basis to discuss career development, current performance, accountability and training opportunities (cross-account, cross-functional, etc.)
- Meet or exceed annual OKR and KPI targets.
- Develop, grow and maintain strong relationships through consistent and professional communications; effective, prompt and courteous communications with respect to difficult situations, relaying failures, etc.
- Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement in regards to processes, cost service and profitability
- Partner with StratOps team on Support initiatives and priorities.
- 3-5 years of people management experience
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with internal cross functional collaborators
- Logistics/freight experience
- Managing OKR's and experience managing teams to KPI's and metrics
- Experience with ZenDesk, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience building relationships internally with partners from numerous teams and organizations
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Background working with clients and speaking with clients regularly
- Has worked closely with analysts
About the Role
The Sr. Manager, Operations will own the oversight of day-to-day activities and execution of Carrier Support Operations within Brokerage. This includes managing 4 managers in Chicago, and 4 (dotted lined) managers in Monterrey, MX. They will direct their team to providing strong carrier and customer service. They will multitask and continually collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure OKRs are achieved. Extensive knowledge, experience and management in a Brokerage environment is a critical success factor to the position.
