      Job Description:

This Strategic Learning Partner invests in the future of Southwest by conducting intake for internal learning needs, driving the portfolio learning strategy for Customers , and maintaining resilient relationships with Southwest University (SWA U) and Business Partners. S WA U is Southwest’s internal training D epartment, and this role joins the SWA U Learning Programs Team to act as the point-of-contact for developing learning solutions for the Safety and Preparedness Team . This Partner will help with project prioritization, problem solving, and relationship building. They ' ll also establish and drive strategic priorities with Leader and Executive collaboration, with a focus on meeting Company and department goals through training. This Strategic Learning Partner is organized and a skilled communicator who is excited about the opportunity to help pilot the future of Southwest Airlines.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

      • Responsibilities
        • Build resilient relationships with internal partners, becoming their go-to resource by asking the right questions, bringing meaningful insights, and being a visible and influential presence among their Leadership
        • Align Learning/Performance strategy with the Businesss overall goals and direction through thought leadership and managing the Businesss learning portfolio
        • Represent SWA U in Executive and Senior Leadership discussions to communicate complex initiatives, gain buy-in, address challenges and ensure ongoing alignment
        • Develop deep understanding of Business priorities, value drivers, challenges and requirements; working with key Stakeholders to determine project objectives, anticipate complex challenges and translate information into learning needs
        • Define and drive the ongoing learning strategy while balancing the feedback and priorities of the Company, SWA U and the Business
        • Facilitate the demand management (intake) process, understanding objectives, risk, impact, audience needs, dependencies, timelines, scope and prioritization
        • Advise Leadership on Learning/Performance related activities such as New Hire/Recurrent Training, performance gaps, problem-solving, and project status updates
        • Navigate highly visible, complex projects by establishing the business case, engaging Stakeholders, aligning Business priorities and ensuring objectives are met
        • May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders
      • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
        • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, needs analysis, change management, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
        • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and learning design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of learning effectiveness
        • Knowledge of consulting and business partnering
        • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of satisfaction
        • Skilled in Strategic Planning/Vision casting
        • Skilled in Account/Portfolio management
        • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
        • Skilled in collaboration
        • Skilled in navigating an organization
        • Ability to apply general rules and established processes to specific problems which produce solutions that make sense
      • Education
        • Required: High School Diploma or GED
      • Experience
        • Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
          • Customer relationship management role and/or a Customer-facing consulting role
          • Working with Sr./Executive Leadership levels
          • Project management
          • Account/portfolio management and forecasting
          • Change management
      • Licensing/Certification
        • N/A
      • Physical Abilities
        • Ability to perform work duties from limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods of time
        • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
        • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

        • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
        • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
        • Must be at least 18 years of age
        • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

      Pay & Benefits:


      Competitive market salary from $107,650 per year to $119,600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
