      Position Specific Summary

      The Data & Evaluation Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of program data while supporting organizational learning and continuous improvement efforts. This role is responsible for: Supporting the setup and maintenance of program data collection systems and spreadsheets. Conducting data entry and data quality reviews for program and grant reporting. Assisting with data compliance and ensuring records are complete, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards. Collecting, organizing, and analysis of program evaluation data. Preparing reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders. Assisting with grant reporting and impact measurement activities.
      Ongoing monitoring of program outcomes and organizational performance metrics.

      Standard Position Description
      • The student will support departmental decision-making through and/or projects through the development of reports, data visualizations, and insights.
      • Tasks may include: Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing datasets from internal systems (e.g., surveys, spreadsheets, databases), Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to summarize findings. Using statistical tools (e.g., Excel, R, SPSS, or Python) to identify trends and insights. Presenting data findings in written and verbal formats to non-technical audiences. Collaborating with faculty/staff to identify opportunities for data-driven improvement. Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and privacy in all data handling processes. May mentor or review work of other student assistants.
      • Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

      Previous skills, training, or experience is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Demonstrated commitment to equity, community engagement, and social impact.
