      Position Specific Summary

      The Student AI Solutions Specialist supports GW's academic and administrative communities by helping design, deploy, and maintain AI-powered tools and agents. This is a hands-on role ideal for a student with an interest in applied AI, prompt engineering, or enterprise technology - offering real-world experience building solutions used by faculty, staff, and researchers across the university. This role is expected to work ~20 hours per week. Flexible scheduling around academic commitments.
      • Assist in building and deploying AI agents using platforms such as NebulaOne, Box AI, Zoom AI, and Google Gemini to automate workflows for academic and administrative teams.
      • Engineer and refine prompts to tailor LLM behavior for use cases including summarization, metadata extraction, and document analysis.
      • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and researchers to identify manual or repetitive tasks suitable for AI-driven solutions.
      • Support troubleshooting and iteration of deployed agents; assist non-technical users with onboarding and day-to-day use.
      • Help maintain centralized AI hubs (e.g., Box AI workspaces) to ensure document consistency and agent usability across teams.
      • Contribute to internal documentation, training materials, and AI usage guides


      Standard Position Description

      The student will provide technical and computer support assistance to departments and customers. Tasks may include: providing customer service to individuals with technical issues or requests, maintaining technical systems, set up and/or operate computer, audiovisual, and/or sound systems. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

      Required Qualifications

      Some applicable educational, technical, or professional experience required, some training will be provided.

      Preferred Qualifications

      Strong written and verbal communication skills
      Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks across different teams
      Interest or coursework in AI, machine learning, data science, computer science, or a related field
      Prior experience with AI tools or prompt engineering is a plus, but not required
