      Summary:

      The Tax Manager is responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues

      To sum up, the Manager role provides a unique opportunity for tax professionals to pursue their career in leading, working and managing end-to-end process of tax lifecycle for corporate clients, which helps them to shape their career to be all round tax professional. In addition, the Manager may learn and participate in business development activities, assist in developing and supervising managers, attend conferences and industry events, and participate in office and firm events.

      Core Responsibilities:

      • Develop brief understanding of day-to-day activities and transactions related to tax and tax accounting matters and make sure they are properly addressed
      • Leading Managing and Holding People Accountable (LMA)
      • Understands and assist in execution of growth strategies (research calls, pipeline management, COPs, etc.)
      • Manage the engagement (job) project management, billing, ensures QC (technical) standards
      • Takes care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communication)
      • Develops engagement team (prepares seniors to the next level)

      Essential Functions:

      • Income Tax Provision – Prepare & review quarterly and annual tax provision for US GAAP & IFRS purposes.
      • Lead the quarterly and annual tax provision audits under ASC740/IFRS.
      • Efficiently review & manage the tax return and related work papers.
      • Prepare and review estimated and extension tax payments and manage tax payment process.
      • Prepare and review balance sheet tax account reconciliation, collect supporting documents and work with clients on reconciling items. Prepare and book rectification journal entries, where needed.
      • Prepare and review journal entry package, return to provision entries, etc., and submit them for client’s approval.
      • Effective at supervising and training staff to prepare income tax returns and the tax provisions.
      • Possesses a solid command of pertinent IRC sections and regulations.
      • Develop an expertise in responding to tax authority notices and client representation.
      • Oversee and supervise multiple engagements in progress simultaneously.
      • Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development.
      • Provide effective feedback to mentors and supervisory, senior and staff accountants.
      • Ability to research complex tax matters and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
      • Meet challenging client requirements and provide exceptional service.
      • Consistently display excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
      • Identify new business development opportunities and assist in growing existing client services.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master of Tax preferred.
      • Minimum 5 or more years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or related experience with strong working knowledge of corporate tax (ASC 740)
      • Licensed CPA required or J.D., LL.M, or EA required.
      • Proficient in corporate, individual and partnership taxation.
      • Previous experience supervising and training Staff and Seniors preferred.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Strong organizational techniques are required.
      • Must be highly motivated and experienced in managing multiple client engagements.
      • Must begin to attain visibility and recognition within their industry specialization.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

      • Salary Range: $125,000 - $180,000 + Bonus program where you can earn up to 10% of your base salary.
