What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Cultivate a caring, supportive, and inclusive school community
- Collaborate with staff and families to improve student behavior, attendance, and engagement
- Engage families and the community in meaningful ways to promote academic success
- Oversee and implement a comprehensive program of Career and Technical Education
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and lead instructional programs and professional development for teachers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current valid Principal and Teacher license in the state of Washington
- Bachelor's degree in education or related discipline
- Minimum seven years of experience in education or related field
- Two or more years of experience in successful school administration/instructional leadership
- Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree in education/educational leadership strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skill in developing a rigorous academic program for diverse student needs
- Experience in public education accountability and compliance
- Knowledge of innovative school designs and instructional models
- Passion for improving educational opportunities for all students
