      Overview

      Provides strategic leadership and oversight for business development initiatives across an assigned market. This role ensures alignment with organizational priorities while meeting the unique operational and market needs of the assigned market. This role drives growth strategies that enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency, positioning the market for strong and sustainable performance. This role also acts as a key collaborative partner to Operations, Clinical, HR, and cross functional teams to support enterprise initiatives and ensure integrated performance across the market.


      Responsibilities

      • Develops and leads the market growth strategy, partnering with healthcare providers to support a seamless continuum of care and identify new growth pathways.
      • Establishes and manages business development performance goals for the market, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and accountability across the area.
      • Leads, develops, and mentors the territory business development team by ensuring they receive the appropriate training, resources, and coaching to drive physician, facility, and referral source growth, while building a strong future talent pipeline.
      • Partners closely with Agency Operations leadership to ensure coordinated execution of growth and operational plans, fostering strong, trust based relationships that drive performance.
      • Develops and executes a comprehensive market business development plan that identifies high value opportunities, drives continuous improvement, and integrates competitive and market intelligence.
      • Sets clear, measurable goals for business development team members to ensure alignment with both the overall organizational strategy and operational expectations.
      • Provides strategic coaching and oversight to business development team members, holding them accountable for achieving growth, operational, and performance outcomes.
      • Achieves or exceeds annual margin and net revenue targets for the assigned market, ensuring disciplined financial management and sustainable performance.
      • Partners with market leadership and senior management to support financial, operational, and strategic planning activities, including the annual budgeting process.
      • Ensures active business development team member engagement in quality, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
      • Oversees budget performance and forecasting for all agencies within the market, ensuring financial integrity and timely course correction.
      • Collaborates with Business Development Leadership to evaluate and implement new opportunities that support market and enterprise wide growth.
      • Partners with HR on hiring, talent reviews, performance actions, and employee relations matters.
      • Conducts regular visits with agencies and business development team members across the market, identifying growth opportunities, addressing emerging trends, and proactively mitigating risks.
      • Ensures full compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations, including home health, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements within the market.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Required-
      • Three (3+) years of healthcare sales management experience.
      • Five (5+) years of healthcare sales experience.
      • Working knowledge of regulations and reimbursement in hospice/home health care.
      • Demonstrated expertise in personnel management, leadership, and financial management.
      • Strong critical thinking skills in developing and executing strategic direction.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive results through proactive transformation.
      • Strong communication skills that support collaborative and strategic relationships.
      • Demonstrates transformational leadership that builds trust and motivates, engages, and inspires teams.
      • Ability to act strategically, integrate initiatives with broader organizational priorities, and balance short term needs with long range plans.
      Preferred-
      • Bachelor's degree in business, a health profession, or a related field.
      • Licensed Registered Nurse.
