      JOB SUMMARY

      The Programing and Wellness Manager is an integral member of the NOW center leadership team. Directly oversees all wellness staff, with emphasis on ensuring day to day business operations of the NOW center are met with minimal supervision. Ensure excellent customer service to all guest and members whom come into the NOW center. Is directly responsible for all wellness programing functions of the NOW center. Strives for superior performance of the NOW center by consistently providing excellent customer service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of community centered care.

      PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Assess, plan, organize and direct overall wellness operations of NOW center.
      2. Direct ownership of NOW center wellness programing and community engagement.
      3. Design and implement policies and producers that improve overall health and wellness of an individual or group of people.
      4. Providing a member focused wellness approach, individual guidance and understanding of needs.
      5. Budget completion for wellness facility.
      6. Develop and monitor productivity measures.
      7. Recruit, hire and onboard all new wellness employees.
      8. Facilitating the management and modification of programing as needed.
      9. Works hand in hand with leaders and care providers to aid in prevention of illness and disease within the facility
      10. Ensure front line staff educational training requirements are met annually.
      11. Conduct monthly staff meetings and complete staffing schedules.
      12. Ensure positive employee engagement and service excellence initiatives.
      13. Evaluate quality and safety measures regularly.
      14. Presents regular updates and reports on the progress of the population and how it has improved since implementation of various health programs to leadership.
      15. Resolve customer complaints on wellness floor if needed.
      16. Drive membership sales with knowledge of center and offerings, while engaging in member feedback and interest.
      17. Provide tours of facility and services to new/ potential members/ community groups.
      18. Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.
      19. Follow up on customer interactions.
      20. Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

      DEPARTMENTAL AND ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Ensure overall growth of NOW center though member retention and programing.

      JOB SPECIFICATIONS

      EDUCATION

      1. Bachelor’s degree within the area of health or fitness/ related field.
      2. Certifications within area of health or fitness.

      EXPERIENCE

      1. Leadership/ past management position required.
      2. Experience in employee budgeting and scheduling required.
      3. Experience leading group fitness classes and educational series required.
      4. Experience with wellness programing development with emphasis on prevention strategies preferred.
      5. Ability to foster collaborative relationships in the development, implementation and administration of service and program delivery.
      6. Knowledge of relevant computer wellness applications.
      7. Experience in stress tolerance and problem solving.

      ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES/MOTOR SKILLS

      1. Able to travel independently throughout all Memorial Healthcare facilities.
      2. Able to participate in group fitness classes as needed.
      3. Small motor skills required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone equipment as utilized by Memorial Healthcare (MHC).
      4. Able to provide walking tours of Wellness Center daily.
      5. Ability to stand at front desk for extended periods of time.
      6. Ability to be flexible in work environments- such as front desk and office space.

      ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL ABILITIES

      1. Proficiency using modern office, computer and telephone equipment as used by Memorial Healthcare.
      2. Use of NOW center membership program.
      3. Use of NOW center health and wellness web tracking systems.
      4. Employee staffing and budget software.
      5. Data reporting and trending systems.

      ESSENTIAL MENTAL ABILITIES

      1. Ability to adapt and maintain focus in fast paced, quickly changing or stressful situations.
      2. Ability to read and interpret a variety of data programs.
      3. Ensure positive customer service environment with all members and staff.

      ESSENTIAL SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

      1. Able to see for the purpose of reading information received in formats including but not limited to paper, computer, reports, bulletins, updates, manuals.
      2. Able to hear for work-related purposes.
      3. Able to be in a loud, crowded environment for extended period of time.

      1. Self- Motivated. Responsible for their own results.
      2. Critical thinking capabilities. Being able to gather information and research, then use the data to determine the best steps to take for overcoming health issues important to the member.
      3. Ability to interact with co-workers, hospital staff, administration, patients, physicians, the public and all internal and external customers in a professional and effective, courteous and tactful manner, at all times, physically, verbally and in all written and electronic communication.
      4. Required to remain calm when adversity is encountered.
