Mobility Technician

What We Offer

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is hiring a PRN Mobility Technician to join their rehabilitation team! This role is ideal for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Physical Therapy Assistant students.

Schedule: PRN, 9am-5:30pm

• up to 2 weekends per month, consistent weekday coverage

What You'll Do

• work closely with nursing and rehabilitation teams
• ambulate patients who are mostly independently mobile
• use walking program to help prevent debilitation during hospital stay

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Completion Novant Health sponsored training program, required. First Responder Certification, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Upon completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program, the mobility tech works within the guidelines of mobility program and Novant Health policies and procedures. Must exhibit strong communication skills; ability to write effectively; effective computer skills, and strong customer service skills.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation. Pursuit of a healthcare profession.
