THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

This position will be responsible for performing the administrative tasks of the payroll department and processing some pay groups. The Payroll Coordinator will support the payroll team by performing tasks that assist in payroll processing. This position will be responsible for researching and responding to time sensitive payroll related requests, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. The Payroll Coordinator provides great customer service to current and former associates, field and corporate management, through verbal and e-mail communications.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Assist with processing payroll on a weekly basis, which includes running reports and researching missing time-card punches.
  • Process some pay groups, typically smaller in size.
  • Research and respond to garnishment related requests in a timely manner.
  • Respond to time-sensitive inquiries from business partners, ADP and other agencies and pro-actively follow-up on issues
  • Assist with data gathering, retrieve documents and files as needed
  • Prepare, edit, and update payroll reports and spreadsheets
  • Create communications regarding payroll related information and due dates for distribution to field and corporate associates
  • Work with ADP to set up new stores to ensure checks and wisely pay cards go to the correct address.
  • Read and route incoming mail and email and process outgoing mail daily
  • Assist the Payroll Tax Analyst with monthly and quarterly requests
  • Answer associate phone calls with professionalism and respond or transfer the call to the appropriate payroll administrator
  • Interface with management, business partners from all functional areas, employees and Payroll team members in a collaborative manner
  • Document and update various payroll processes to ensure continuity, consistency and efficiency within the department
  • Assist with special projects
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCESS:

  • 2-year Associates degree preferred
  • General understanding of the payroll end to end process
  • Familiarity with payroll rules and regulations
  • ADP, ECP and UKG knowledge helpful
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and independent problem solving ability
  • Strong attention to detail and audit skills
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • This role requires travel to Bolingbrook, IL office 5 days per week at least 3-4 hours per day in office.
  • Customer service focus
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Due to Payroll processing schedule, may need to work certain holidays/weekends
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment

The pay range for this position is $20.87 - $28.60 / Hour with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
