Software Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA — Onsite 5 days/week
Compensation: $150,000–$225,000/year

The Opportunity

Our early-stage startup client is building a modern technology platform designed to bring greater transparency, reliability, and efficiency to complex global supply chains. The company is currently building and launching its product with initial customers and is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the team during this critical stage of growth.

As an early engineer, you’ll play a significant role in shaping both the product and its technical direction. You’ll be hands-on in building the early platform, working directly with customers and users, and helping turn product concepts and front-end components into a scalable, enterprise-ready application.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building from zero to one. You should be equally comfortable rapidly prototyping and iterating to demonstrate customer value as you are thinking strategically about architecture, scalability, and long-term technical direction.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants meaningful ownership over both the product and the engineering decisions behind it.

What You’ll Do

• Build and help lead the delivery of early versions of the platform, including pilot programs with initial customers.
• Develop high-quality, intuitive product experiences with a strong focus on UI/UX.
• Take product requirements and existing front-end components through development into a robust, enterprise-ready application.
• Design and implement integrations with external APIs, partners, and cloud infrastructure.
• Rapidly build and iterate on prototypes to validate ideas and deliver customer value.
• Help define the platform’s long-term technical architecture and strategy as the product scales.
• Partner closely with customers, users, and non-technical stakeholders to understand needs and influence product and feature design.
• Contribute to broader product and business strategy as an early member of the team.
• Build solutions pragmatically in the early stages while recognizing when and how to re-architect for scale.
• Provide technical leadership as the engineering and product organizations grow.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience building across both front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong experience with modern, open-source technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, GraphQL, Trigger.dev
• Experience in a startup and/or agency environment, ideally with hands-on experience building an early-stage product from zero to one.
• Strong product engineering instincts and the ability to build polished, user-friendly experiences.
• Experience designing and building API integrations quickly and effectively.
• Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and make sound technical decisions in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders, customers, and end users.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and help guide an engineering team as the organization grows.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP systems and ERP API integrations.
• Experience with supply chain, procurement, or related enterprise software.

Additional Requirements

This position works with ITAR-controlled and CUI data. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise qualify as a “U.S. person” under applicable ITAR regulations.
