Full Stack Developer (PHP Laravel / NextJS) with Production Support Experience

We are looking for a US-based Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in PHP, Laravel, NextJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, and MySQL, who can serve as an extension of our offshore engineering team.

This role requires a developer-first mindset, with the ability to contribute to both feature development (60-70%) and L2 production support (30-40%) for business-critical applications.

Must-Have Skills

• 10 years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in:
  • PHP
  • Laravel Framework
  • NextJS
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • REST APIs
  • MySQL (query writing, optimization, troubleshooting)
• Experience handling:
  • L2 Production Support
  • Incident Management
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Defect Fixes and Enhancements
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Git

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance application features using PHP, Laravel, and NextJS.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and support tickets.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Troubleshoot issues across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Optimize SQL queries and backend performance.
• Collaborate closely with offshore teams to ensure knowledge continuity and operational stability.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain development best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Onshore-offshore delivery model
• AWS and/or Azure exposure
• Monitoring and logging tools
• Healthcare, Diagnostics, or Life Sciences domain experience

Ideal Candidate

• Strong full-stack developer with production support experience.
• Comfortable balancing enhancement work and support responsibilities.
• Able to independently troubleshoot issues across application, API, and database layers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a distributed team environment.

Role Mix

• 60-70% Development (PHP Laravel / NextJS)
• 30-40% L2 Production Support & Incident Resolution

Location: United States (Contractor) - Remote

Engagement: Extension of offshore delivery team supporting business-critical applications.
