Systems Engineer

Overview

RCCA is seeking a Per Diem Systems Engineer to support and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for providing technical expertise to ensure the successful implementation, support, and optimization of applications, hardware, software, and network systems that support business and clinical operations.

Compensation: $36.19 - $55.66 per hour

Responsibilities

• Completes projects to test and finalize specific hardware and/or software configurations to be used on the company network. Works with Corporate IT.
• Assists in testing and analyzing specific hardware or software being considered for use on the company net.
• Works on a project basis to determine best means to deploy and support the company net hardware and software, especially with respect to new applications.
• Provides assistance to other team members and vendors involved in the deployment, installation, or repair of network hardware and software while projects are moving from the planning to operational phase.
• Provides technical support during the evaluation of new hardware and software products including performance testing, reliability testing, deployment requirements, cost analysis, manpower requirements, and maintainability.
• Responsible for all software distribution services.
• Participates in ongoing and regular reviews of Help Desk logs, equipment failures, and schedule reviews to determine better ways to deploy and support existing and new systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with minimum five years experience in the following areas: desktop hardware/software installations; operation of a Windows NT operating system; network hardware and software troubleshooting. Technical certifications in one or more of the following areas preferred: Windows NT, workstation operating system such as DOS, UNIX, Windows 95/NT, hardware related certifications, and certifications in a related field.
