Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Lafayette, IN 47905 (Metal fabrication plant setting; ~20–30 minutes outside central Lafayette near Delphi)
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $30.00/hr
Duration: 1 Year
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (49 hours/week; Mandatory 6-hour overtime shifts every other Saturday from 5:00 AM – 11:00 AM; Temporary with conversion potential)

Overview
The Temporary Warehouse Supervisor directly oversees warehouse personnel and material management operations within a fast-paced, active cryogenic industrial gas trailer manufacturing and metal fabrication facility. This role supports production schedules by enforcing inventory controls, directing material flow, leading team safety protocols, and operating material-handling equipment in a demanding industrial environment.

Job Specifications

• Directly supervise hourly warehouse staff, including scheduling, performance management, coaching, and daily task delegation
• Oversee warehouse material flow, stock staging, and inventory accuracy to support demanding manufacturing and production schedules
• Enforce key control and inventory control policies using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Enforce workplace safety policies, lead safety meetings, and conduct incident investigations
• Safely operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to move materials throughout the plant
• Maintain organizational standards in an active fabrication environment involving potential exposure to wet/dirty conditions, heights, and physical labor
• Valid Forklift Certification required
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred
• Direct experience supervising hourly personnel and managing inventory/materials required
• Experience using ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems required (manufacturing/production environment experience strongly preferred)
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Must pass Plug Power's zero-tolerance drug screen (including THC)

  6. Have you ever been responsible for enforcing workplace safety policies and conducting safety meetings or investigations?
  7. Do you have at least one year of experience safely operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or manufacturing environment?
  8. Have you ever been terminated for violating a workplace safety policy, workplace violence policy, or company code of conduct?
  9. Do you have experience using a Warehouse Management System, ERP system, or inventory management system?
