Administrative Support Assistant (OA)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range &Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Public Works located at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Duties

• Performs a variety of administrative functions in support of the office staff and to enhance the operation of the organization.
• Ensures that all recruitment, placement, promotion, award, and training actions are processed through the appropriate channels.
• Responsible for working directly with the directorate staff to develop training requirements and quotas.
• Monitors, instructs, and provides guidance to all administrative/clerical personnel within the organization on correct procedures for preparing the Time and Attendance Reports.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a Tier 3, Noncritical Sensitive- Moderate Risk, suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a qualified typist that can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
• This position is subject to a one year probationary period
