To lead Set Pieces within the Performance Analysis department, delivering reliable analyses to the Set Piece Coach which enables actionable insights for all coaches and players.

Your Impact

1. Lead the preparation of opposition Set Piece reports through the application of video and analytics
2. Work in collaboration with the set-piece coach to prepare insights and content for pre-match team meetings [including use of telestration software to illustrate tactical patterns & routines]
3. Attend 1st Team home and away fixtures as required to support all elements of match coding with specific responsibility for live set-piece feedback to coaches and players. Ensure post-match databases are maintained.
4. Assist the Set Piece coach with training sessions and, support the Training Analyst to link training to games.
5. Create set-piece performance reports which, identify trends and insights for leaders, coaches and players
6. Work in collaboration with the men’s 1st team analysts in the delivery of set ups, matchday analysis and coach interaction.
7. Support the 1st Team Performance Data Analyst to collaborate with CFG’s Football Intelligence team to establish more efficient / automated workflows and deliver strategic projects

What we are looking for

Essential

• Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis or a related field
• Detailed knowledge of football
• Experience of the detailed analysis of Set Piece perspectives
• Experience of working within a Performance Analysis environment
• Experience of producing written and video feedback and reports in engaging formats
• Experience to work to tight deadlines
• Highly proficient using Hudl Sportscode
• Highly proficient using Studio or Piero

• Postgraduate degree in Performance Analysis or a related field
• Uefa B coaching license or above
• Experience of independently delivering performance analysis projects
• Experience of asking and answering data related football questions
• Experienced in the use of Trackman.
