  Responsibilities

  • Learns to independently set up 25% and operate 100% of the machine groups in the respective area
  • Opens and closes each job Loads wire efficiently and safely using appropriate tools and removes empty spools
  • Measures and inspects the wire quality throughout each step of the set up process
  • Operates all testing equipment including: micrometers, calipers, etc. Retrieves all gauges, tooling, racks, and materials needed
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform heat sampling
  • Removes and installs machine tooling
  • Sets up machine(s), adjusts tooling, sets parameters for each job
  • Assists leads and supervisors with teaching and training machine operators with day-to-day responsibilities
  • Learns to complete basic troubleshooting and adjustments to machines
  • Communicates regularly with machine operators regarding any machine issues
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform wire rejection procedures
  • Participates in cross departmental work production based on business needs
  • Learns and upholds defined quality standards to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimize work efficiency
  • Strives to achieve team and individual specified production targets

  Qualifications

  
  

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or related environment
  • Mechanical experience including: operation of high speed automatic and semi-automatic equipment required
  • Set up and adjustment of metal forming processes (stamping, forming, shearing) required
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment and ability to identify machine problems required
  • Experience measuring parts with precision instruments including: micrometers, digital calipers, etc.
  • Pass required exam of math and English
