- Receive, review, and properly code invoices to ASI's general ledger accounts, produce checks, post accounts payable, and disperse checks.
- Ensure that recurrent invoices are properly initiated as scheduled
- Maintain and update accounts payable vendor file information
- Make accurate entries into the ASI or affiliate cash balance sheet
- Accurately prepare and send annual 1099 forms
- Assist with semi-annual audits
- A minimum of one year of experience in an accounting position, preferably with exposure to nonprofit fund accounting and parent/affiliate organizational structure
- Demonstrated clerical and mathematical aptitude, and the ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and meeting deadline.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English in person and over the phone.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy office environment with multiple distractions.
- Two-year accounting degree or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus
