      Location Description

      Pyramid Hotel Group, established in 1999, is a Boston based privately owned full service hotel and resort management company with a portfolio of properties in the United States, Caribbean and Europe. We provide a wide range of services including hotel management, asset management, project management and lender/receivership services. The company currently operates and asset manages over 170 hotels, across all major brands, with more than 12,000 team members.

      Overview

      Overview - This position contributes to the Company’s success by improving and streamlining the accounting processes. The position will report to the SVP of Accounting and Finance and work closely with the VP of Accounting Operations. This position is Houston based.

      Duties & Responsibilities

      Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Work with the Accounting Department leadership to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities.
      • Review systems, metrics and other information to determine areas for improvement.
      • Recommend improvement options complete with time and cost information
      • Redesign procedures utilizing system automation and remove non-value-added tasks.
      • Working with the leadership and Training Manager, develop training and materials to roll out new initiatives.
      • Follow up on new initiatives to determine level of acceptance and implementation. Work to resolve any impediments to acceptance of new processes.

      Qualifications

      The ideal Process Manager candidate will bring the following required, desired and optional assets to the company:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field with a concentration in accounting (through intermediate)
      • Minimum 5 years’ working experience, Treasury experience is a plus
      • A strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls in the Hospitality industry.
      • Very strong attention to detail
      • Experience with Microsoft 365 Finance and Operations and developing new processes.
      • Strong organization and presentation skills.
      • Basic understanding of accounting principles
      • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to continually follow up to accomplish goals
      • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

      The Accounting Process Manager may from time to time be asked to perform other detailed functions that have not been addressed here that are reasonable and within the scope of the job.
